After a frustrating experience with Alaska Shingle Solution, who failed to show up on the scheduled day, we were in desperate need of a reliable roofing company. That's when we found Eric Harris. From the moment I called Eric, he went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. He provided an accurate estimate and managed to fit us into his busy schedule within just two weeks. Throughout the entire process, Eric maintained excellent communication, promptly addressing any questions or concerns we had. Our roof was damaged in the Jan ‘25 windstorm. Our biggest problem, we were leaving Anchorage in March. Between getting an insurance adjuster out, getting the insurance money, and finding a roofer who would work on it during the winter and within budget so we could put it up for sale, I just didn’t expect it to happen. Enter Harris roofing. I called and Eric answered immediately. He came to look at the house the next day, and was immediately ready to begin work the day we flew out. Then Anchorage finally decided to start snowing! Harris roofing was able to get the shingles stripped off and sheeting down, and then we received 12” of snow. All this time, I’m 3,000 miles away in our new location. Eric updated me everyday on weather, and sent pictures. As soon as the weather broke they were up shoveling snow off the roof and back at it. It was such a relief to have Eric and his crew on the job, with constant text and phone and FaceTime communication so I knew what was going on each day. I can’t recommend these guys highly enough. I live out of state and had a buyer walk from the sale of my home due to roof issues, so I flew up to AK and reached out to Eric at Harris roofing to see if they could get my roof squeezed in the limited time I was in state. And my goodness did they deliver. I called Eric on Thursday afternoon, he was out at the house first thing Friday morning to assess everything and provide a detailed estimate. On Monday they were on-site knocking it out. They completed the entire roof in one day, with just a couple hours needed Tuesday morning to wrap things up. The speed alone was impressive enough, but what really stood out was how organized, efficient, and dialed-in the whole process was. No delays, no runaround - just clear communication and execution exactly as promised. The estimate was spot on accurate, the timeline was amazing, and the quality of the work speaks for itself. It’s EXTREMELY rare to find a contractor that moves this fast without sacrificing quality, but Eric and his crew nailed it. Eric and the crew did a great job for us. We needed the replacement of an original, 40-year old wood shake roof on our house that was a disaster. His crew had that completely off on the first day. Over the course of the next few days, they completed the roof, despite some rain disruptions. We chose a high end shingle which added a very reasonable additional cost but his pricing was similar to a quote I received a full 10 years earlier, despite all the inflation we have seen between 2015 and 2025. I was shocked at the affordability. I have recommended them to a number of other folks already. I have included before and after pictures.

We recently had to switch plowing crews for our association mid winter. Thats tough to achieve. Erik Harris contacted me and inspected the property to give us a fair bid. My Board of directors and I took his company and crew crew on that day! Today, they were here to edge our lot, clean the stairs and shovel the all of our walkways then plow our lot. It's been two years since we have had an incredible plowing company. Erik and his crew are awesome and the work accomplished was truly PHENOMONAL. I have had several residents send me messages on what they came home to and the incredible detailed work that was done today. From my VP of the board she said "OMG they did great! They even did the side where me and my dog go through. Very impressed!". BRAVO!! It's so nice to have a company that truely cares about the work they do take the time to put special attention to the details. Erik even called me down to have me inspect and verify the work completed to make sure it was done to what we wanted. Let's just say I was speechless walking across our parking lot and extremely impressed with everything I saw! I didn't get photos today, but I will get photos tomorrow and add them to this review. Harris roofing was the fastest to give us a quote in town. We called about 15 other places and they couldn’t get to us. In any short amount of time usually a few weeks out. Then once they would come out it would be a week or more to get us a quote. Harris roofing on the other hand got out to us in just a few days and had a comprehensive quote ready the next night. I’m sure as the season gets busier this experience might vary, but since I was home when they were inspecting it Eric gave me a realistic expectation of the work that it would require and a breakdown of what the day would look like. He was down to earth about the expected timeline and potential cost. He and his crew did what they could to give us a great roof and save us costs when they could. I couldn’t recommend a better company with a focus on customer satisfaction, quality, and time management. They made us feel important and even got to us 10 days ahead of schedule.

Harris Roofing did an excellent job replacing my roof this summer. They were extraordinarily fast and communicated with me through the whole process. The estimate was accurate with no changes at completion, and the pricing was reasonable. My yard was spotless after the job was wrapped up. Not to mention the roof looks awesome! Finally, Eric went out of his way to help address an issue with my home (unrelated to roofing) just because I was a recent client and he takes care of his customers. You will not be disappointed with Harris Roofing.

I just have to give a HUGE shoutout to Harris Roofing...... After the major windstorms this winter, our home took some damage and we needed a new roof. If you know our house, you know this was no small job our roof has so many different pitches, angles, and elevations. It’s complicated, and I was honestly a little stressed about finding the right company to handle it. Harris Roofing went above and beyond. Not only were they professional and easy to work with, they actually moved us up in their schedule and got to us a week or two early which meant so much in our situation. Their crew came in, worked hard, and had the entire roof torn off and replaced in just 2–3 days. I still can’t believe how fast and efficient they were, especially with how complex our roof is. But what meant the most to me was their honesty. In today’s world, that’s everything. They were straightforward, fair, and truly trustworthy from start to finish. No games, no surprises just good, honest work. And something else that really stood out to me this is a veteran-owned and operated company, and you can absolutely see that level of integrity, work ethic, and pride in everything they do. They took great care of our property, cleaned everything up, and left it looking better than ever. And the roof itself....Looks Freaking AMAZING! On top of all that, their pricing was very reasonable for the quality of work they delivered. If you need a new roof, definitely go with Harris Roofing! I called 12 different roofers for estimates in 2024 and Eric Harris was the only one who showed up on time and came in with reasonable prices. My new roof was just put on in less than a week and it looks amazing! Eric's team works incredibly hard and they left my yard spotless.

They came out to fix a leak caused by an installation error done by Earhart Roofing. They answered the phone on Easter and were on site in under 3 hours. Removed the ice dame causing the leak and gave us photos to show Earhalt. I highly recommend for prompt communication and amazing work.

We had our deck contructed by an individual contractor 2 years ago but it was leaking so i looked for Roofing Construction Company to help me with my prob. I message several roofers but only Harris Roofing replied. It turned out our entire roof needs replacement, he gave me a fair quote and he prioritized our construction due to leaking. Eric explained the process and he is very assuring. I have a hard time trusting people but trusting Harris Roofing is worth it.

Harris roofing is by far the most professional and competent roofing company in Anchorage. I needed heat wire placed on my roof with this winter closing in fast and he was able to make it happen in a timely manner. His employee Bill was down to earth, professional, and task oriented. Couldn’t ask for a better local business to support!

I had a roof leak due to an ice dam so needed an emergency repair. Eric was able to have a crew out to my property within a day and have the roof section replaced with a couple days despite running into addition issues that required extra work to repair. I know I got lucky on the scheduling, but those guys hustle and do a great job. Really appreciate the teams work!

Our roof had been damaged in a wind storm loosing a huge swath of shingles and multiple places with exposed plywood. Eric answered the phone late on a Sunday and rearranged his teams schedule the next morning to provide emergency covering before the next round of rain. From the 1st contact with Eric, up to after the last nail was sunk, I never wondered if I was being ghosted or put on back burner. Our 80's built homes roof needed replaced this summer. 40 ish years old, beyond further CPR... Had Harris Roofing come out and bid the replacement. Unlike most roofers that we contacted, he replied quickly. He gave us a quote that seemed reasonable compared to others we managed to get. Next thing we know his team is scheduled and the job was completed in 2 days. Happy to have this done!

A friend recommended this buisness to fix some damaged shingles we had due to the windstorms. They quoted us at a much lower and much more reasonable price than another buisness. Eric and his team had great communication, provided quality service, made quick work of the roof damage, and all at an excellent price. I definitely recommend and would use them again. Harris Roofing did a great job! Our project got delayed a few days because of weather and Eric was really good about keeping us updated. They finished our roof in one day and it looks great. found out about roof damage mid summer and Harris roofing definitely were life savers. they fit my home into their already full schedule and did an amazing job. cleaned up every evening after work and finished in a few days. 100% recommend them for and work.. crew was great. owner was great and was always clear and communication was open. Moss Pro came out and helped me with removing the moss on my roof, fixing the heat wire, and every mentioned fixing something on my chimney. They gave us a veterans discount and were very professional. We hired them to remove all the snow on our roof a month later and they did a fantastic job for an amazing price! They were very thoughtful about where they piled up the snow and made sure it did not cover our deck or path to backyard. Highly recommend

WOW!!! I am approaching 80 and over the years I have done business with all types of companies. None have been as satisfying as dealing with Eric, owner of Harris Roofing. A spring wind storm tore a few shingles off of our 25 year old roof and after consulting with several companies, it was clear that we needed the entire roof replaced. I got multiple estimates. Admittedly I was attracted to 'Harris Roofing' as it is 'Veteran Owned.' Then Eric came out himself, inspected our roof and gave us an estimate for replacing the roof with the most appropriate shingles for the windy area in which we live. Harris' estimate was the best and we contracted with them to replace our roof. A date was set and when the weather did not cooperate I was kept informed daily by Eric as to necessary changes. Once they started the entire process, it was clockwork. If Eric is the diamond of this operation then his crew are the jewels in that crown. Courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. They removed the old roof and got the waterproofing down before the rains returned. These men knew what they were doing and despite intermittent rain were able to finish the job in just under three days. Eric regularly checked on them and from talking with them it is clear that they respect their boss and enjoy working for 'Harris' during the roofing season. As they finished the rain came hard and so they came back the next day for clean up. They left our grounds and new roof spotless. I've been fighting an ice dam for 4 years that has been letting water intrusion into the house and finally threw in the towel when it beat back all of my own measures to resolve. Called Harris Roofing and they were able to have someone come by the next day to take a look at the intrusion and then look at rhe dam and isolate how it was propagating. Quoted me a job that seemed fair and were able to schedule for a week out to come for the remediation work. Extremely quick to notify me when another job went longer so they could reschedule me for the following morning. Folks were courteous when setting up and appear to have done an excellent job!

Eric was so easy to work with and very knowledgeable. First of all, he was one of the only companies to actually come out and look in person to do an estimate, most other companies just do they’re estimating based on satellite photos, so I appreciated the personal visit. Second, the entire process only took one day, tear off and new roof installation. They were so efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. Our old roof was wood shake shingles, which are messy to remove and they still got everything done in one day. We are so happy with the new roof, it looks amazing.
